Mike Franks, Colin Watson, Andres Vargas, Camilo Buscaron InstiGator, UF's Robot Lawnmower InstiGator is an autonomous lawnmower.  The robot and team won the static division of the 8th Annual ION (Institute of Navigation) Robotic Lawn Mower Compeitition in Ohio in June 2011. Camilo Buscaron and others Blue Rover MIL's version of the Mars Rover, originally developed in IMDL by Bob Pitzer in the mid 1990's.  With 6-wheels, each with forward motors, four wheels with turning capabilities, and a rocker-bogie suspension, this vehicle can travel over rough terrains. MIL   5

Charlie Groom PyroBot PyroBot tracks and seeks rubies and sapphires (for his lady love back home). He will not move unless he hears loud sounds, music, or yelling pirates.  Once PyroBot has found the jewels, he will attack the other ship and set it on fire with his on-board flame thrower. Roger Rodriguez Packy Packy is a packaging robot.  He locates objects of a selected color, picks them up using a universal gripper, and places them in a plastic package. The gripper is  based on the interlocking property of granular materials when subject to vacuum, called jamming transition. Aleksandras Kaknevicius Sentinel Sentinel will safeguard a narrow passage, blocking intruders or alerting others when an intruder has tried to pass it.  If the correct password is given to the Senitnel (i.e., "singing a particular song"), he will allow entry through the protected area. Phong Truong Murphy Murphy tracks targets using a wireless IP camera and color blob detection. Once the target is found, he will eliminate it using a modified USB missile launcher on a pan/tilt servo system.
